John
I had an excellent experience at the hotel. The staff was always willing to help, and the hotel facilities were incredibly well-maintained. The location was fantastic, only a minute or two walk from the beautiful beach. Breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of options to choose from. The cleanliness of the hotel was superb, and everything was kept pristine.
Nothing, all aspects were exceptional.

Room cleaness and nice looking hotel complex
Cold water in the shower! Swimming pools dirty, small and water was not clear. Spa facilities too small and could be booked for one party only! Hotel deffinately don't match to the 5 stars!should be rated at 3+ or 4!

The room was very very nice. We booked for a double room and we were upgraded to a suite next to the pool and by the sea. Very nice hotel, all the areas were really clean and modern. The only small complain that cannot ruin the whole very good option of the hotel, is that the breakfast room would function better if the air distributor worked better, in order not to have the smell of food on you and your clothes.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. the location was relaxing and peaceful, with a man-made beach right outside the hotel, and the real beach just a minute or two down the beach. the staff was friendly, personable, and very attentive to my needs. My room was spotlessly clean and spacious, with beautiful views of the sea from my balcony. the breakfast was a delicious and varied buffet, with something for everyone. I loved the included activities, such as pedalos and paddleboarding, and the spa was a real treat after a long day of activities.
It would have been nice if there were more restaurant options within walking distance, as the nearby market is only available on Wednesdays.

hotel has 5 stars but it's not comfort, service and feeling of 5 star hotel. our fridge was empty all the time, first two days it wasn't working. we asked sea view and we got room categorized as see view but there wasn't sea. prices of hotel accommodation and hotel bars are too high for what is offering. light in bathroom did not work...

The Location.
There are no signs to the hotel, making it really hard to find. The only one was covered by dozens of cars. It would be nice if the staff was equally as polite to Greek visitors as it was to foreign travelers. Additionally, regarding the non-Greek staff, a wonderful idea would be to learn Greek. Remarkably overpriced lunch and dinner e.g. 2.50 euros for a bottle of water. All in all definitely not worth the 5-star grading.

Amazing time! Great food, friendly staff and plenty of space to relax. The views of the sunset were breathtaking and the pools were clean and refreshing. I appreciated the free towels and the variety of water sports available to us. The rooms were well-kept and spacious, with a fridge to keep drinks cool. The location was peaceful and quiet, perfect for a relaxing getaway.
The lack of Greek food options at meals was a bit disappointing. the hotel was a bit far from the town and we had to pay for a taxi to go anywhere.

Friendliness of staff.
The property of the hotel is very narrow and the available space for pool and beach is too small for the number of people accomodated on the premises. Therefore it looks very croweded and cramped. It can hardly qualify as a 4* hotel. If Istion is a 5* hotel, how many stars should Porto Sani Village or Sani Beach Club or Danai in Nikiti have (all in the same area) ? So, based on my experience, this hotel caters for mass market tourism branded as a 5* status, but those who look for real 5* luxury experience should try something different.

The room was spacious and spotless. The daily cleaning service was excellent. The food was varied with Mediterranean options, and it was always hot. The hotel's facilities included three pools, a jacuzzi, and a mini market. The animation team did an excellent job with many activities and themed nights, something for everyone.
Some guests got up very early to reserve sun beds and then left them empty for the whole day, making it hard to find a parasol. The hotel's location, near a busy dual carriageway, lacked interesting places to visit nearby. The hotel was somewhat far from local towns, and the advertised bus service was too early in the morning.

The location right by the sea was good. The staff in the restaurant were very helpful and friendly. Room was a good size and spacious and had a nice bath.
Basically the hotel is set up for package deals. The food [dull] is served canteen style. There is no real a la carte and if you are not on the all inclusive deal it could prove expensive. Although the porters and restaurant staff were generally very helpful, some especially so, the front desk receptionist was pretty unfriendly and inflexible and very reluctant to go out of her way to please a customer. A real rule follower [she told us off for checking out half an hour late]. It's a hospitality industry, be hospitable, the rest of the staff managed it.
